Rees Urban & Brian Boncher teamed up to form Rubb Sound System debuting with their remix for Frankie Knuckles & Jamie Principle’s “Baby Wants To Ride” released on S&S Records in early 2014. RSS continued their work with iconic artists including Lil’ Louis, Marshall Jefferson, Steve Silk Hurley, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Armando, Robert Armani, DJ Deeon, CeCe Peniston, Ron Carroll, Colette and Fatman Scoop. They’ve found their music supported by an amalgamation of heavy hitters across the board; notably Roger Sanchez, Danny Rampling, Mark Knight, DJ Spen, Huxley, Congorock, Hercules & Love Affair, Roy Davis Jr., Joachim Garraud, Mark Farina, DJ Heather and Parris Mitchell.
Furthermore their recent single “Cast A Spell” on Guesthouse Music took the #1 overall spot on Traxsource for nearly 2 months which was preceded by their debut album “Rubb Down” on S&S Records that also reached the #1 spot in a week’s time and held it down for nearly 3 months.
RSS has proven to be consistent with quality releases since their inception and continue to prove their intent to remain a mainstay in the House Music community; proven by their increased demand in bookings having headlined stages at festivals including Even Furthur, House of Sol & The House Music Block Party over the summer.
